PRE-ORDER THE TRACK FROM ITUNES HERE – Released 14th February

A world exclusive for the new video from Erick Morillo, Eddie Thoneick featuring Skin on gigwise.com. With legendary Skunk Anansie singer Skin taking control of the vocal line, and the undisputable touch of label boss Erick Morillo and regular partner in crime Eddie Thoneick on production duty, Subliminal’s springtime big hitter ‘If This Ain’t Love’ receives its official release – rather appropriately – on Valentine’s Day.

A heady combination of dance floor dynamite and raunchy, sex infused rock, the track continues the winning pairing of Morillo and Thoneick, whose previous collaborations ‘Live Your Life’ and ‘Stronger’ dominated global airwaves and taste-maker charts across 2010 and 2011. From the outset, ‘If This Ain’t Love’ is in a class of its own. The unmistakable voice of Skin provides an almost ethereal, euphoric dynamic against Morillo and Thoneick’s pumping house set-up. Soaring across thundering guitar riffs and uplifting piano chords, the singer’s emotive performance lifts the track higher and higher as the beats caress the bass lines underneath her.

The Sympho Nympho mix puts a more prominent dance edge on the track, with Erick, Harry Romero and Jose Nunez flexing their more-than-considerable musical muscles, perfecting the original with enough energy to rock the biggest rooms, stadiums and festivals on the planet. The video is set in a futuristic world, with dazzling visuals; ever-iconic Skin is bought to life by the power of music under the watchful eyes of computerized masters Morillo and Thoneick.

Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick ft. Skin – ‘If This Ain’t Love’ is released on February 14th 2012 on Subliminal Records worldwide.

Recent Tracks That Haven’t Left Erick’s Box

August 26th, 2011

With a massive summer weekend upon us, it’s time to highlight 2 more massive tunes we’ve put out over recent months.

First up is the feelgood Richard Grey & Maboo Inc peaktime monster ‘Turn This World Around’ featuing a mighty Nyx Syrinx Nelio Remix that has been doing the business at Pacha Ibiza for weeks now.

Then there’s another of Harry Choo Choo Romero’s recent run of amazing solo and partnership productions. The buzz about ‘Tambores’ has been proved right by the crowd reactions whenever it is played.

Both are huge records that Erick has been playing and if you don’t already own them, now’s the time! Beatport links are in the Soundcloud players above – perfect club music to play very loud over the coming days…

Big Bambossa and Subliminal Tunes

July 16th, 2011

Two more massive tunes that you may have missed, but shouldn’t live without!

First up is a floating summer remix of 2010’s Subliminal classic ‘Alive’, which Brockman & Basti M take off into sunset grooving territory, totally changing the vibe of the vocal.

As a contrast, DJ Dove’s recent debut on Bambossa is a proper tough club track and comes with a killer Harry Choo Choo Romero remix (that you can also hear/buy from the player above) that is one of the hilights of Erick’s forthcoming Subliminal Invasion double mix album, out August 1st.

Here are 2 recent club smashes from Subliminal and Sondos that Erick has been dropping to wild effect in his sets in Ibiza and beyond.

Antranig rips the speakers apart with his trademark no-holds-barred style on ‘Back That Up’ while Jason Herd makes a welcome return to production on ‘It’s OK’.

Both are available to buy from the players above, so if they’re not already in your collection, sort it out in time for the weekend ahead. Boom!

May 26th, 2011

Erick returns to launch his hectic summer schedule tonight at V Live in Chigago, followed by El Paso on Friday and by his infamous Memorial Day Weekend party at Tao Las Vegas n Sunday.

With his musc anticipated new single ‘Stronger’ with Edie Thoneick and Shawnee Taylor coming on June 21st, we thought we’d highlight these amazing mixes of their smash from last summer ‘Live Your Life’ and also Roney Seikaly’s most recent Subliminal release.

Expect to hear this kind of music all night long (Erick’s playing for 8 hours at Tao!) And with Ibiza kicking off in less that a week, it’s all systems go…
